Trail Conditions

November 21, 2025

This might be the last weekend to ride Northgate before the snow hits hard.  Forecasts are for considerable snow over higher elevations Nov 25-26, so we will wait and see what transpires next week.  For now, the trails are a mix of hard snow pack, a few  icy spots in shaded areas, but most trails are clear and rideable.

Trails got some snow in the past week, but much has melted, so trail conditions are variable. Some spots in the sun and wind are clear, while others in shady more protected areas have a bit of snow/ice covering. All trails are open (except those off-limits for hunting season) but our best description might be it's "in-between" season. That being said, you might find conditions ok for a mountain bike in some areas, and in others you might wish for a fattie. Northgate is getting above seasonal temperatures, so plan your ride accordingly.

Northgate got a light shower overnight making the trails a bit "tacky", but the volunteer trail maintenance crew has blown all the leaves off, so riding conditions are great for this time of year. Please note that Northgate is adjacent to private land used for hunting, and signs have been posted on several trails (Eneko's, Ruby Thursday) to be avoided for rider safety. PLEASE OBEY SIGNS AND STAY OFF DESIGNATED TRAILS.
