Trails are drying out nicely, we should be able to ride in a week or so. For now, please refrain from riding on wet single track. Family trail is drying out and is walkable. We will update trail conditions the week of May 4-9.

It's that time of year to put the snowdogs away. Trail grooming for fatbiking is concluded for the season. The wet snow we received this past week will be allowed to melt. Bring on the mountain bike weather.
Please consider making a small (or large) donation to Northgate, as our trails are maintained entirely by volunteers. We are taking a short break while the snow melts and will be out and about a.s.a.p. getting trails ready for the summer riding season. There are big plans in place for developments in RMNP, but we are also doing some upgrades on the existing NG system. Watch our webpage for updates, and join our mailing list so that you can be the first to know what's happening.
Who would believe we'd still be providing fatbiking trail conditions in April? This might be the last weekend folks, so get out and ride. Edwards Connector is is good to great condition - some icier sections along sun-exposed ridges. Parkline is in great shape, trail conditions get a bit less ideal as you enter Gatehouse. (sun-exposed climb is tricky), however all trails are rideable. Slim Jim has some sun-exposed sections, but overall conditions are great for April. Trails are firmer earlier in the day, so get out early. If you are making ruts, lower tire pressure to reduce damaging trails. Be careful in the parking lot - there are lots of icy patches.
